Aw. Was looking forward to this. Lol. Great news on the stroker tho. Ever thought of getting another rolling chassis for all them motors you got?

 

And make my life easier......lol. Hell no. Well.....if it could all be an easy modular design......phew...draining thinking of all of the custom work to get another chassis like mine....although....i could tell anyone else how to do so much more quickly.

Swapping engines is still easy enough. The actual only rolling chassis that I currently need, is another engine stand.

 

Oh yeah!!!!!!!! I know a guy who recently purchased some Kelford cams for his 1GR. Roughly $1250, works with VVT-I, off the shelf, and have a history with putting down an average of 38-40 ft/lbs of tire shredding wtq.

I still need to get the part number from him. He ordered them through a diesel performance company which has an account with Motovicity. Once anyone has the part number, they can order the cams from any vendor who has an account with Motovicity.

 

Group buy? Lol

 

For these cams would a tuner be needed? Most likely I'd assume?

Would I get more out of with one?? I'd love a set of cams for the 1gr

 

No tuner necessary. Only if the maximum performace was wanted then tuning would help. He should have his in around a month. Then we'll determine if the heads have to have any work for them to fit. Despite being told that they don't, still being meticulous and verifying. Then I'll share that info. These are a very common cam set, used in the UAE, for quite some time.

 

I don't need them, but if there were enough people devoted to a set, I am sure that people would line up and a vendor would sell them on a group buy. Just need the people and the communication.

 

Where in the power band do these give the most power? Or do you not know until he gets them?

 

I've no idea. To be honest, I've no idea even about my custom grind set. I do know thathe has the specifications of them. That they can be compared with my grind numbers. Other than that, his are more user end friendly than mine, since mine remove VVT-I.

 

Well if they help out low to mid range I'd be in for a set so I could be almost as cool as you with your custom grind cams and stroker engines
