I have tried to turn off the seatbelt alarm with the information I have received from this site...So far I haven't succeeded. Apparently, it has worked for past models, but, does not work on the Tacoma 2015. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Am I missing something? Why not just wear your seatbelt?

Because it's annoying when you want to just drive a very short distance away, you're driving on dirt FS roads, or just unbuckling cause you're anxious to get home after a long day.

    I'm also interested FWIW

I had dealer disable during service. Did it for dog jumping back and forth from shotgun to back seat.

I just buckle the belt when my dog is in the front seat. Solves that problem.

Why not just buckle the seat belt and then sit down? Doesn't seem to be uncomfortable or awkward if you were just driving a short distance. But then again you could put it on just the same.

I've seen folks just leave the seat belt buckled all the time and get in and out as they wish.

I pulled the buzzer off. Its behind the gauge cluster. Worked like a charm, no more damn beeping.

You can have the dealer do it,

You can buy the techstream cable and do it yourself via techstream software.

Or you can use your blutooth OBD ELM327 adapter and use putty to COM into the actual ECU and change the setting via a specific set of commands.

Its usually the same members that say the same lame thing ( why not just buckle up, yada yada) when this topic comes up. They really like their soapboxes.

I'm a sales guy....I spend a lot of time putzing around in industrial parks going from account to account, driving short distances, and getting in and out of the vehicle frequently. Seatbelt/alarm = PITA.

The tacoma's noise does not bother me, but dad's newer F150 sounds like an electronic symphony when you are in a field in reverse with the seatbelt off. It about drove me nuts unloading brush to the burn pile the other day.

Yeah soooooo I went to Toyota for my 20k service and the representative said they can't disable the chime due to liability or some dealership run of the mill BS they were trying to pitch to me. Anyway after questioning that multiple times I've decided to go with the linked Amazon item above:
