It went up for auction and my parents had the winning bid. I have always wanted to drive across the country too. My new work truck is a 2016 Chevy 2500 with the 6.0

Of the 600ish miles I drove today only 50 miles were nice. The rest was either blizzard, wind, or thunderstorm.

I'm so stupid... It's pretty ugly. Hoping that the scratches fill. They should. The dent will probably stay though.

Someday I won't care. I just am feeling lousy. Especially because it was totally driver error. Could have been avoided.

I know this is dumb because not everyone sees my truck as nice, but I got my first real body damage a few years ago and I was pissed. It was only a year after I had every dent taken out and the entire truck painted. I was on a very difficult trail and saw a rock there on an off-camber section. Heard the scrape and assumed my slider took the hit. Wasn't until the end of the trail that I saw the damage. Even if it was easily avoided, it's something I've accepted when off-roading became my main hobby. You'll learn to accept it I promise

Look closely at the back door and you can see the dent.

I totally get it. I know I'll look back on it as a cool scar in the future. It's just so new!
