Picked up a rack and RTT on craigslist today, along with new wheels and tires last week.

 

Not difficult at all. You can warm the vinyl up a bit with a hair drier. But, just enough so it's not brittle. I used my fingernail to get it started, then just worked it off gently. Patience is your friend.

There was very little residue, which came off easily by dabbing it with a strip of masking tape.

How was it taking it off underneath the weather stripping? just tug it out or did you have to pull it away?

No, I'm just tired of people talking about things they don't know. They are just making assumptions about parts they don't have and aren't going to put on their truck just because someone else said something. If you want your truck to sound louder, sure throw an exhaust on there. If you want to put 3 LED bars on your truck for the one month out of the year that you hunt, go for it.
