Any ideas where to get rock sliders around Ontario? Or do I have to make a trip to our south neighbours?

Well some off-road shops will make them for you, however my thoughts were for the amount they would need the truck to design them and what not I could get them a crosse the border. $150 shipped for sliders (100lbs) and skids (100ish lbs). Not too shabby

Edit: unless you can order them to a off-road shop, like trail gear sliders.

    No worries.

Also I would highly recommend bolt on. Mine are weld on and although they are technically stronger. Painting them after a couple winters and off-road trips suck. Laying on your back, paint dripping on you. Not a good time. Lol

Yeah, but there are lots of good custom shops that can make something simple like that and great welders here in Canada to fasten them on the way they're supposed to be. We have a great little custom shop here in Fergus that I'll give a shout to DK Custom Welding. They specialize in custom trucks, and they could something like that with their eyes closed.

Absolutely. Here in the GTA ct Motorsports builds sliders for fj's, and the owner has built many beautiful custom rigs including a solid axled Fj cruiser on 40's. Many off-road shops. My issue is I couldn't leave my truck for a length of time to have the sliders built. I assumed they would have the truck for atleast a day or two and I couldn't do that as my truck is my dd and not a specified trail rig. With the vendors that make the product all ready I could just order it and install it at home, or take a couple hours to have it installed while I waited. Like when I got my sliders welded on.

Yeah, I know Ski at CT Motorsports. Great shop and Ski knows what he's doing that's for sure!! CT are the busiest and probably the best custom 4X4 shop in the GTA so you have to be patient if you want them to work on your truck. But I'm sure other shops will measure up the job, and call you in when they're ready to be put on. No big deal. If the person making them needs your truck for a few days I wouldn't use them!!! Haha. Any pro can make sliders from measurements.

That's why I used bolt-ons. I had to redo mine because of really crappy bedliner that I put on last year. It was a two step epoxy that literally started peeling off days after. I sand blasted the rest of the shite off, primered them and used EZ liner from Cambodian Tire.

Pics to follow in my build thread, once Photo Bucket stops freezing up.

    Welcome @mazdastyle! I was mazdilla over on TM3 when I had a Mazda 3 commuter/ricer.

Great point I hadn't considered. I didn't no that at the time so I just went with vendors that massed produced the things. Regardless what ever works and protects the rockers is great. If you can support a local company that's even better

I think I'm going to head over to Square One on the first, it would be cool to see what the locals have done to their trucks. Also, I've got a bunch of bed cleats and two spiral cables I'd like to sell. What side of the mall does this happen on?
