Hey guys I'm considering getting some front liner for my Tacoma DC , I have a couple I'm only getting the front ones. Do you have to remove the security hook??? Is the fitment good?? Finally my truck is gray interior should I get black or gray. Thanks

I have some older husky liners in my truck and they do not have a provision for the hook. They never move since they fit pretty well to the floor.

Are the husky liners worth the money? I was actually thinking of switching out my carpet and getting nicer floor matts.

I love having them and not having to worry about getting mud on my carpet. Just pull them out and hose them off. I got them used years ago and never looked back.

I have a 95 taco with husky liners. They're not the exact fit ones, the classic style. These bad boys slide around like crazy, but I don't have a hook to attach them to in my truck.

Yeah, I just don't know anything about Huskey floor mats except for the newer X-Act Contour Huskeys that I have. These do use the hooks on the floor board for the front mats. The back floor board mats are just held in place by the nubs on the bottom of the mat. Never had a back seat passenger complain about the mats sliding around. I think the only reason I chose them over WeatherTech's top of the line mats is because my feet don't slide on the Huskeys, as they do on WeatherTechs.

On my 98 you have to remove the security hook. The drivers side liner slides forward within seconds of driving it.

Due to this tons of crud accumulates between the back edge of the liner and seat bracket rail.

As well as along the sides because of poor figment.

If I didn't get them so cheap, I'd be more disappointed in their performance.

I have gray carpet interior and went with black. Looks good.

I have husky's - bought them about a year ago for my 2000, they don't use the hook but they don't slide around either. They have nubs on the back that keep them from moving around. I use them in winter and they catch all the melted snow and salt great.

I have the exact same situation on mine

I do like them over the stock carpeted ones. They keep my floor clean but do more around a lot.

Which liners are we talking about here? These are the ones I have (not the greatest picture) and they never move around.

Yeah I've got classics as well. But mine don't move at all. I'm quite satisfied with them. Nice to be able to throw whatever on the floor and not worry about ruining anything. The mats were already in the truck when I bought it, but having experience them now, I'l consider them for future vehicles.

Those are classics. Same ones I have. Although I don't have the rear seat ones. I guess whichever PO got them opted not to buy them. I might get the rears at some point.

Let me know if you do, I'll sell you my rears cheap :)eek:)

I bought the full set but the rears don't fit because I have Subaru seats in my truck with an amp under the driver's seat and a powered sub under the passenger seat.

They are black, unused and uncut.

Those are the ones I have (in black).

The driver's side slides forward no matter what. Either my carpet is extremely worn, to the point that the pibs on the underside of the liner has nothing to bite into or the pibs themselves are useless.

Why do the amp and sub get in the way? Do they extend back onto the rear floor space? Eventually, I'd like to get a small sub (among other audio upgrades) to fill in the sound. So I'd probably have an amp and sub similar to you, I'd guess. Either way, feel free to PM me about pricing.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I have Xact liners in my 2012, they do use the factory mount points on the front end (not on the rear). I love how they feel like thick rubber rather than the plasticky feel of the Weathertechs.

See how they go under the seat. The amp and sub prevent it from fitting correctly. If you're going to go the route of amp and sub under the seat, I would not get these. They eventually will not work with your set up.

Wrong generation. They don't offer those liners for our trucks.

I think I'm just gonna leave it with the Toyota all weather floor mats that my Tacoma has on right now
