I have been asking toyteclifts how to adjust the 5100's since they come with no instructions. Some reason they can't tell me....hmmm.....maybe I will reconsider next time I need suspension parts!

    thanks in advance!

Yeah as you can tell I am a little upset. I have been e-mailing a rep of their company all week trying to get this question answered. I have been given no direction! Seems like an easy answer to a product they sell.

I feel your anger I emailed them because they over charged me $100 on shipping my lift to me no one has answered me back in 2 plus months. The billies have 3 settings "0" "1.75" or "2.5" the bottom one is zero and the top is 2.5 Im sure you can figure out the middle one:D

You have to take the assembly out of the truck. Then remove the top and spring... then you can push the lower spring seat off the ring. With a pair of pliers pull on the ring and move it up to the desired setting. put the lower seat back down...reinstall the spring then the hat. reinstall complete assembly. This cannot be done on the truck like an adjustable coilover.

Just make sure you don't follow in Chirs4x4s footsteps when doing this. apparently moving little rings is one skill that escaped him. :D

Read the How-To section and it should go smooth.
DO NOT REMOVE THE BIG NUT ON TOP WITHOUT THE SPRING COMPRESSED!

    Very important.

No. Thats not true. Pep Boys out here assembled his shocks and springs incorectly. He brought his truck to me to check them out. When I did, I noticed they were assembled incorrectly, I informed Matt, and began to re install them in the truck. At that point, one blew apart. I DID NOT assemble his springs.

^ haha that was a sad time when you got hurt. adjusting is realy simple, pull the assembly off thr truck. remove the top plate while the springs are compressed, adjust the c clip and reverse to put them back, on

    +1. Thanks for posting.

To the OP: I am Sorry for your frustration. The 5100 adjustment is made by simply moving the small c-clip to the desired setting. Like others have said It cannot be done while the shock is on the truck. You must set the desired height adjustment prior to installation. The bottom ring is for 0 lift, 2nd from the bottom is 0.85", 3rd 1.75", and top approximately 2.5". Just be careful when moving the clip from one notch to another notch. You do not want to bend or stretch the clip as doing so will cause it not to seat correctly. Hope this helps. Also, have you tried calling them? Might be a quicker way to get your questions answered. I know those guys are always very busy and do work very hard to try to answer all questions. Also did you check your spam folder? Sometimes email filters inadvertently catch email that we really want to read by accident. Just a thought.

    Toyota's are awesome
As we discussed in our email conversation, I don't have a digital copy of another Manufacture's Instructions. Those instructions are included in each box. I still find it weird you have two box's that have no instructions. But, with that aside.

I really don't appreciate you coming on here bashing ToyTec, or 'calling them out' when you and I were handling this through email. I spent my time researching on the forums trying to find that thread I had seen the pdf on. Then I offered to fax a copy to you.

Were your feelings really hurt that bad. You could have even started this thread, without saying a word about the fact that I don't have a digital copy of some instructions that only come in the Bilstein box...

Other options you could have excersed: Emailing support from the website. Calling the ToyTec office. Started a thread here without throwing yourself under the bus.

I'm here to help in any fashion I can, but I can't hold your hand..
