In the evening and at night when I'm driving home, and I have might lights on LOW beam (for sure they are on low), and my fogs off, I get 'flashed' by oncomming drivers quite a bit. They think my brights are on, but for sure they are not.

My suspension is stock, I have a Leer 100xr topper, and a Pelferybuilt full hoop front bumper. The truck seems to sit level. I had sand bags in for the winter, but they are out now, and I still get flashed just as often. People don't like the lights on my Taco!

I've driven pickups before. I had a 2006 Silverado new that I traded in on this Taco, and I didn't get flashed nearly as often and that sat up higher than the Taco.

Just wondering what other people's experiances are? Second Gen, Access cab, 4wd, SR5.

When you level the truck or are nose high you change the throw of the headlights which are normally pointed down at the road, yours are now pointed straight into oncoming traffic.

Adjust them down where they are supposed to be, particularly in winter when you're making your front end placing your beams even higher.

You haven't put LED or HID lights in your Halogen housings have you? If not, I suggest checking/adjusting your aim. I never get flashed, bone stock headlights

Here is my truck with halogen headlights pointing at a car 50 ft away.

    Low beams.

My nose was only half of an inch higher than my rear. Imagine having that view? That's why you get flashed.

Of course not, I'm on this website! But as far as m headlights go, I have only slightly larger tires than stock and no lift.

So you're stock, essentially. You still have factory rake, anyway, so your headlights are correctly aimed.

I was amazed at how easy it is to adjust the headlights. (Made me regret all the people I'd needlessly blinded.)

I think I understand the confusion. I was replying to the OP, not you. This quote of yours probably sums up his issue:

Not sure why that last part is butchered, but was trying to type in the winter when you add sandbags to the rear, you'll again be making your angles change so that your truck won't be pointing lights onto the road.

So you'll really need to adjust them once now and again before and after winter.

It's easy, and blowing people up with your lights and not caring is a dick move.

Look at my pic for example!

Too much lift in front compared to my rear.

Now I have 2.25" up front and 2.75" in the rear and have proper rake, and headlight adjustment. Never been flashed since.

No. They may be set as they came from the factory/dealership but they aren't aimed correctly. He needs to adjust them.

I raised my truck 1" in the front and I was constantly getting flashed. The further from the truck you get, the more dramatic the increase in height of the lights.
