Depends on whether you are gonna stay CB or jump to HAM. My Cobra handheld is all I will do. For a more powerful system I will go HAM once I take the class and get licensed.

 

Yeah i did the fix on a Silverado, Tahoe and escalade.

 

When I was lurking around 3 Gen forum, couple of folks had airbags installed in the rear. Am I just crazy thinking its waste of money?
I can see air bags in F250, Ram 2500 if they are towing a large camper but didn't make sense on a mid size pick up.

 

The stock leaf springs are stupid soft which make for a compliant ride but it sucks balls when towing something or even with 1,000 lbs of weight in the bed. Hell I'd get a lot of sag with just 600 lbs in the bed. The airbags let you add more resistance in the rear when you need it but let you still have a softer ride by deflating the bags to 3-5psi when not towing or carrying weight.

 

If you're towing and the bed loaded up to GVWR airbags are a good option. With Daystar cradles the unloaded articulation is the same.

 

We did check there. I recall them having one but I think they were the super expensive ones.

A neighbor's 35 year old cottonwood tree had one of its main trunks break off and drop. About a 40' piece that was nearly 3' in diameter fell right next to his house.

Unfortunately the very end/tip of it landed on his beater Nissan pick up and went through his windshield.

I have jumped but still wheel with a lot who havent. I also think the cobra handheld is a better handheld as it has a brain box that can be hidden, correct?

 

Has anyone added an easy down strut to the 2012+ tailgates? Apparently they are the same but searching on here it looks like Toyota decided to weld the bolts that were used for the bracket on 2011 and older years. I use the tailgate all the time and frequently with hands full.

 

Less then local stores (which makes me wonder how the fuck they're calculating taxes but anyway), and the prices on things is still cheaper then most stores. Or the way I like to look at it is I spend the same amount as a local chain store to get higher quality things.

 

I have a SWR meter, if you want we can tune it ourselves and save you some $.

 

Its an easy thing to do! Especially when you dont like going to the store for shopping. I buy a metric ton of shit from Amazon, but I also save time money that way.

 

Mmmmm 35s look gooooooood. I still think i want to do 35s over 37s. They look good and i think 37s just look big.
