My 1999 Tacoma 4WD Ext Cab long bed had the longer driveshaft compared to my 2016 TRD OR. I remember a grease fitting on the front driveshaft where the sliding yoke joint was. Same on rear if not mistaken. My 5' bed TRD has no such fittings. It looks like there is an accordion type metal cover over the shaft where a sliding yoke might be. Is there any required lubrication for driveshaft joints which allow for axial movement?

Also, is front diff able to move axially with respect to the transfer case? Is the front diff able to move vertically with front suspension or just each wheel relative to the front diff thru the independent suspension ?

You are correct; the slipjoint is a sealed affair. The only way to lube it is by dropping the driveshaft. This is usually only done if you have slipjoint binding; short of entire driveshaft replacement.
Ford XG8 Teflon grease is what is recommended in such cases.
