Another 2nd Gen Tail Light Option

So here I am, bored on Amazon, and I find these...

Says it fits 2nd gens but I'm not sure where the big swoopy wing goes haha.

I was thinking the same thing. It's too bad they don't make a "wingless" version that isn't almost 500 bucks. I also wonder how the wing illuminates being on the tailgate.

 

Probably just a reflector like the Lincoln version of the f150

 

Well, it's a 4 piece, you could toss the wings. I personally like the newer 2nd tail lights. The smoked ones from factory.

 

Reminds me of the Lincoln Blackwood and Mark LT, but trashier

 

If you look at the other pictures they definitely show it lighting up.

Haha I'm too cheap to throw out half of 500 dollars worth of stuff. Damn for a few bucks more I could probably get one of the retrofit builders to throw a small projector in the reverse light and just drive around backwards everywhere.

So f'n gross haha.

 

I'd like to meet the guy who has these on his truck and just give him a firm slap across the face. Yeah man, throw some H1's in there and drive backwards. I'd pay to see that.

they probably use some contact points between the two pieces to pass the electricity through. doesn't really matter how it is done, i am not a fan of them.

Is it DOT approved?

 

I think so at least the ones I found on ebay have this on the description: "SAE/DOT optical certification - These tail lights are made by SAE/DOT certified manufacturer". Amazon has them for $149 and some sellers on ebay want $250+ . They're not "too trashy." They're waaaay too trashy. Looks like something one would find on a clapped out (and lowered) Kia in a high school parking lot.

 

Need some Morimoto sequentials for 2nd gen.
