    I just bought a short antenna off ebay but I am having a hard time taking my stock one out. I bought the antenna tool but the tool broke on me. Maybe I was turning it the wrong way? It goes off counter clockwise correct? I can just remove from the top correct, I don't need to go under the fenders do i?

    grab a set of pliers and at the bottom of the antenna there is a stop thats flat on 2 sides grip with pliers there and turn counter clockwise and it should remove

    I think the righty tighty thing is for working upside down, which makes more sense. like when you open the lid of a jar, if you hold the jar upside down, the lid direction should go to left to open it, hence lefty loosey.

    Yea, no. Clockwise (aka turning to the right from top) is tighten. Counter clockwise (aka turning to the left from top) is loosen. The rule always applies to looking down at the bolt. Unless it's one of the extremely extremely extremely rare reverse threaded bolts....
