Really? By installing these bushings I should check those items? I had no issues with either of those before hand.

The only one related is the steering linkage, because you have to jack up the body from the frame. As previously stated it's probably an unrelated issue, i.e. carrier bearing, tire balance, or something else. As is such with modifications, you should expect things to act different. I see you have modified suspension, as well as other mods, it's just a fact of life.

My new bushings made some noise go away but now I'm hearing other noises that weren't so prevalent prior to the new bushjngs. All from installing new bushings...

Like most bushings - the harder the durometer of the material, the more noise. Soft rubber > solid mounts. Relatively Quiet > noisy.

I understand. I've installed polyurethane motor, transmission, and suspension mounts and bushings on other vehicles before. I've felt the increased nvh, but never experienced this sort of issue.

I actually expected more vibrations from these. Probably not much, and I rarelt pay attention to vibration, but the fact remains that most bushings on the truck are designed to filter out vibrations on the truck coming from various parts and when you replace that rubber with a harder material you're allowing more vibrations to transfer across.

Rob's gonna jump in here and argue that point, but its true regardless. Go from a brand new stock truck to one that has even a mild lift and just some off road tires and youll feel a difference in the way it handles and how the vibes are. Each modification away from stock configuration is going to have a chance at increased vibrations, which all that rubber is designed to intercept.

If I had to guess, I bet it's tire out of balance.

I highly doubt it, but will keep it in mind. I changed out bushings on my radiator support and it caused my tire to go out of balance. Just doesn't sound logical, but then again nothing in life is logical is it?

I am going to take a look at the steering linkage to see if it went loose while jacking up on the radiator support. If that doesn't work, I'm going to reinstall the bushings with the smaller one up top vs the larger one up top currently. Maybe the extra gap is causing something to bind up.

No. Your tire was out of balance all along. You couldn't feel it with the rubber bushing. You swapped out the rubber for harder poly and now you feel it.

    That's what I was suggesting.

Check your steering shaft linkage, more importantly check that rubber donut that is on the intermediate shaft(I'm pretty sure that's where it is), it may be worn out.

    This.

These actually emitted no additional vibes surprisingly and I was expecting some.

I agree with what you said. Poly bushings over stock rubber will always emit more vibes through the cab, or car, or whatever application you are putting them in. If you want to try to start another pissing contest. Smoke my pole Jeff. :broccoli::bananadead:

Tires out of balance will almost always rear their ugly head if they are out of balance. A swap out of radiator support bushings would not amplify that in this instance. I would be more inclined he check his steering shaft and linkage, as they are known to be issues and wear out the donut bushing on them.

No one is saying your tires are related to your new bushings. Seperate issues.

Did you destroy the OEM bushings when you removed them? If not, you could reinstall them.

That only masks the impending issue. I would rectify whatever the issue is. Steering or wheel related.

Or a 'friend' who thought it would be funny to duct tape a weight to your drive shaft. ;)

Just a thought, if the OP has 4 wheel drive it might bee the needle bearing.

Just another of many possible issues unrelated to the bushing install (before he throws you under the truck for suggesting such).
