I have searched threads on this topic and have not found a good answer...yet.I have a set of 886 front coils and 5100 billies. i am looking for a 3 inch lift up front. what setting should run for the lift that i want...not concerned about it being too stiff... i would like a full 3 inches... also have a set of camburg uca,s and alcan custom leaf pack...all your input would be great.....Thanks:cool:

With 886's a full 3 inch lift may come at the 0" setting.

Without a doubt- The OME shocks are better suited to the 886 springs. The OME shocks are valved and built for the OME springs.

But the 5100s will work fine. I would not suggest putting 5100 preload and the lift shocks on tho- Folks have done it- but on your truck- The 886 are heavy duty coils, with extra preload- I would say probably bone jarring would describe the ride....

I just traded in a 2000 taco with stiff front springs and 7oo lbs overload rear springs and in was real stiff. but i do not do racing, or rock climbing, just loading up with wood and toolbox and welder every week.....4 wheeler too

I will give the billies a try and if i find them too stiff i,ll just buy some ome shocks. I do like a stiff ride plus i will be investing in a good front bumper with winch some day

886's? Do you have a aftermarket bumper on the front? I think you will break your teeth if not.

No aftermarket bumper yet....but looking at a few with a 10,000 pound winch.............Never liked a soft ride. my last two taco,s were stiff and worked out great so all that have stiff springs and winch set-up please chime in and give me your results on ride and if you would do something different......Thanks

check my build thread...I have the 886 on bilsteins at 0. Just know that you will most likely need new UCA's.

Didn't get the alignment yet but its not to bad right now. I had the billys at 2.5 with the stock coils and it leak a bit to the right after the alingment and now its about the same as it was. I would like to get some uca but I will be getting my wheels and tires first. I want to upgrade to 285's.
