only reason i didnt use the lower shock bolt is because space and rubbing on the TRE back and forth. Otherwise its a good mounting location.

Great company to deal with, highly reccomended.

Those were 9", now replaced with 8",you can see the clevis was about maxed out there. Correct, eye to eye. An 8" should work for just about every stock length setup/configuration, but best bet is to get your mounts, mock them up and measure.

 

Anyone running the heim steering from readylift? Probably not worth it but thought I'd ask to see what people think of it

 

Mid Travel Overland build question: 255/85/16 or 285/75/16? I'm having trouble buying the reasons for a 30mm increase in width when a 10mm increase in height seems more practical. Cupel that with having to chop, trim, and molest a 285+ and I'm further confused. Are the 285+ for aesthetics or am I missing something. I understand the pro surface are discussion of the 285's but I also see the practicality of 255 pizza cutters with taller side wall. Help.

What are the specs on 2.5 king coils? I can't decide how I want to get the lift i've lost back from spring settling.

 

pretty sure the consensus was wildly over priced, so not many have it. Im close to buying it or figuring something out, i hate my TREs and the fact they're non grease-able drives me insane with the creaking.

On that note, just installed my heimed DKs this weekend, along with their UCA gusset as there are some comparability issues with the TC ones I was told. Also solid mounted my lowers and a rebuild and revalve of the Kings.

Note that the tabs are not centered to build caster into the lowers instead of relying on the uppers for all of the adjustment which pulls the wheel towards the fire wall. There is a part list for the hardware in my build if anyone is interested.

 

Also, another reason to run straps, top out bumpers can only handle so much.

 

i REALLY want to do this as well. Looks great! How much of a pain is it to adjust the upper to bring into alignment? Pull bolt, loosen jam nut and adjust heim?
