Well, central Texas is a fair piece from BC. If I'm ever in the Vancouver area I'll let you know.

Actually, I am planning a trip that follows the Lewis and Clark trail in the reverse direction for either this summer or early fall, depending on the work schedule. They mentioned I would have a two month break in the middle of the summer for the project to break for the travel season on the hwy job I am running. That being said I fully expect them to put me on another project during that break, but who knows.

Anyways, if the trip does go ahead, I will swing back west through across the I-10, over to my old PHX stomping grounds, then start making my way north through the interior of Cali. If it all goes to plan, I got a bottle of craft beer that will come all the way from Vancouver Island with your name on it.

    regards

    Steve

hold the unlock button and press the lock button twice (or vice versa). the red light will flash four times and the fob will be deactivated until you press a button. Take the mechanical key with you. Put the fob out of sight in the vehicle, as anyone who gets in can use it to start the truck.

I've done this trip a few times, probably best road trip I've ever done, and I've done a few both west coast and east coast. If you ever get a chance, assuming you haven't done it, Pacific Coast Hwy to LA is one of the best drives in this continent. Absolutely the best scenic anywhere, and adding in the Red Wood Forest is the topping on the cake!

Is this hwy 2 across Montana? If so, it's incredible! Took a drive from Chicago to Glacier 2 years ago across there.

If you like out of the way places (i.e. Dead end roads), when you get to Malta MT, take the main road south out of town.

There's a place at the end, American Prairie Reserve. They're returning pure blood bison to the area. There's about a dozen campsites there. Bison will just walk thru camp!

The trip I'm talking about goes from Oregon along the Columbia over to the Dakotas then starts heading south east. Most on secondary roads with some backcountry stuff thrown in as well. Wanted to do it in the bike. Figure it'll take me 2 wks with all the stops I want to make. I have friends it took a month to do but they stopped at pretty much every museum. I want to hit up the main points.

It might be hwy 2. I've done parts of it from Oregon to Montana on my adv bike.

    Regards

    Steve

I've read the section of the Owner's Manual pertaining to VSC & Traction Control, etc. but I'm still not clear on what it means to me & how to use it.

My Tacoma is a 2WD Sport (automatic trans). When I push & release the VSC button I get this:

    image.jpg

When I hold the button for several seconds I get this:

    image.jpg

Note: The amber triangle + ! indicator has been on for a little while to indicate scheduled service coming due. So, I don't know if it also comes on with the VSC annunciation.

I appreciate any help I can get from the community.

    Thanks,

    -Stan-

How do I delete the XM radio stations that I had pre-set, this is driving me crazy and I'm sure it's simple.

Do you want to rearrange them, or delete entirely? I'd just pick the ones I listen to more often and move them earlier in order. For instance if Ch 25 was number 10 in order and I wanted it to be number 2 in order, then tune ch 25 and hold the number 2 station until it beeped and programmed into that slot. Not positive if you can actually delete them and have say only 5 channels in the list, would have to go through the manual to figure that out, I've never tried it.
