Been strapless for years. Unless somewhere I feel someone can grab out of my hand and run I'll strap up but, ya.. burden. They affect clear shits in the wind on a tripod too.

    Sweet pics bro!

Quick question as much as mud is entertaining and all, what do you do to clean it off? Is it that big of a deal to have it cleaned right away or will a simple hose down underneat suffice? I usually hit it with a hose underneat just to make sure ntn is stuck or caked up...

Nothing too crazy. Just having to get out to the high ropes course to do some inspections.

Does it matter that I didn't really go to off-road, rather I just went where there is no pavement to get to where I'm going?

I use a pressure washer, as the clay around here in Upstate NY likes to stick to every surface. I like to clean it as soon as I can, but don't fret it too badly.

With the design of the '16 trucks, I'd even go so far as unbolting the factory fender flares to make sure I get out any mud that gets inside and traps moisture up against the paint to prevent any chance of body rust in areas that don't dry quickly (highly unlikely, but still. I hate rust).

So, let's talk about water crossing... Are the door seals water tight? At what point is a water crossing going to entail a long drying out for the inside?

I spent some time in the last week in water nearly over the wheels. The doors kept water out just fine and my rear diff breather is extended to the top of the driver's side bed cubby. Checked after crossing and trans/transfer breathers we still dry.

I've been up to to the fender flares. The doors held the water out with the windows down. There was no positive cabin pressure. I think the double seals kept it dry.
