Installed my new head unit today. I'm practically driving a 2016 now with all this Bluetooth connectivity.

Basically that's all it is. You have engineering background right?

Yeah. I understand the science but actually doing it is different. Turns out I don't have steady hands.

Slowed the feed like you suggested. Worked great...

When I kept bead in the groove.
Cross-sectioned a piece. Knew I had got the bead too far out of position and sure enough had no penetration. Other side where I kept position better was a strong weld.
Will add pic in a minute.

Lower right, you can see no penetration.

To increase penetration you can also preheat the metal to roughly 150/250 would be good for that thickness

Just a bag of bushings... :spy: Currently looking into alignment cams. The recommendations seem to be oem or SPC. I have been advised to stay away from moog.

If they are seized in the bushing would we be able to just cut the bushing from around the bolt and reuse the oem bolt?

Get a hand saw and cut the bushing. It's slow but it saves some money

Oh, idk about the alignment bolts and tabs. I thought you were talking about the bushing once the LCA is out of the truck. I took my alignment bolts and cams out when I installed those Bilsteins at 165k miles and mine were fine, not seized or anything.

Yeah I'm trying to figure out if I can just cut apart the bushing to recover the factory cam/bolt if it is seized to/in the bushing.

Well located my axle today and found out I have to get a fuel cell. Tried my best to avoid it but oh well. Hopefully tomorrow night I can locate brackets.
