I must say, they're a huge upgrade from the 2nd gen wheels. I'm in love with my 18's though, perfect rim to rubber ratio on our tacos IMO. Plus a noticeable increase in handling from 16" OR's.

Thanks OP, I bit the bullet and bought some 16 OR rims for mine now lol. It's not done there, have to get some rubber for them too once I get them. Should I start the 100th thread on, what tire can I fit lol.

Just picked up some 17" 2016 sport wheels to put on my 2006 :) Pics soon, although I wonder what they would look like on my FJ40...

On your FJ40, now that could be interesting. You should pop a wheel off and see how it looks. Snap a pic too please and share!

I did the same thing on my 2015 today. I think the new wheels make the truck look a lot sharper compared to grey on grey. image.jpg

Looks good and I have to agree with they grey on grey comment. I'm currently trying to make up my mind if I'm going to lift my truck or not right now before I go get new tires.

Got mine on today, I didn't have time to clean them or the tires but I think they turned out nice.

I agree!! Makes me almost wish I had gone with MGM instead of SSM for my 2015 Off Road. I already had/have an MGM Tundra and an MGM Sienna so I was torn when I went to pick up the Tacoma. Really wanted MGM, but went with SSM just to differentiate a little bit. Good job.

Thanks! Credit is due to those on this thread posting picts.
Sometimes it is good to change. The gen 1 I had was Impulse Red and went with the MGM this time as a change.

I found mine on local Craigs list too. $400. I used my original tires, tpms and lugs. Fit nice. Like this wheel as I had the exact same wheel on my 2012 Tundra crew. This is a 2015 sport and these are 2016 sport wheels.

Bought mine from a private seller who removed them before he even bought his 3rd gen home. Had 'em loaded in the back! I bought them with the lousy stock Goodyears for $600 and sold the tires for $350.
