    none yet
I called the dealer last year thinking they had a fix for the leaf springs, but all they did was fix the other 3 recalls. I really want Old Man Emu leaf springs anyways. There was a statement on the original recall letter about being reimbursed for aftermarket springs, but I cannot find that info. Can anyone help?

I'm guessing that time has passed since the remedy is becoming available.

Yep, that's as good as they get. Either toyota designed them to be flat or toyota just can't get it right, either way they suck compared with an aftermarket heavy duty spring set.

I had a broken spring when I went in for a Safety Inspection. I called Toyota to find out what was going on with the recall here in Nova Scotia. I did end up getting one 4 leaf spring out of them. There is a three leaf on the other side. The service manager did a rough measure and found the old side was actually 1/2 inch higher. The old one has no arc in it...flat, flat. I checked the new one a day or two later and noticed my new one is exactly like your pictures. So other than no broken spring, I'm no better off.

If Toyota leaf springs are flat with no load.. can they be classed as springs?

I received my "remedy" recall notice around the end of March. I dropped the Tacoma off at the dealer last night. They just called and said the leaf springs need to be replaced and it, "will take about a week for parts to come in." It's a 2010 with 43k miles and gets relatively light usage, with the exception of one cross-country/round-trip with the truck bed full and a packed utility trailer in tow. We'll see how long the remedy actually takes.

I received my "SAFETY RECALL NOTICE" (REMEDY) Today, it says nothing about an inspection, it states that "Any authorized Toyota dealer will replace the leaf springs at no charge to me"

The inspection is just to make sure you don't already have the new springs. Like if dealer replaced someone's springs with the new design prior to the recall remedy being out, such as a good faith replacement. Took them all of 5 seconds to "inspect" mine.

I've got an AAL on my 08, but I got the TSB recall notice in the mail today. Do you think it's worth taking the AAL out and then taking in for an inspection? Maybe uninstalling/installing an AAL 2x doesn't make sense in the long run..

The dealer said if I brought in with AAL they wouldn't replace the pack. No broken leaves to my knowledge.

Got another dealer to go to? Kendall in Eugene did the recall with the AAL. They couldn't put the AAL in the new pack, but took it out of the old pack and gave it back to me to install.

By the Gods, I finally got my remedy letter. Now the Bimbo on the phone tells me the " inspection" will take about two hours, then they have to order the parts. I about lost it on the phone, but I'll save that for the appointment. WTF will take two hours to look under it, see the stock springs, go yup that's a cheap 3 pack alright. Unreal.

Same thing with me, they said come in for an inspection. I said no way on the inspection. I want the new leaf Springs. A little back and forth and they finally said they will order the springs and i made an appointment.

I have 5 Toyota dealerships within a half hour from me and the one I like best gives me the hardest time with recalls.

There is another Toyota dealership 3 miles away from that one that will never hesitate on a recall. They will replace anything without even looking at it. If it's a recall it gets done no matter what without inspection.

It's weird how different each dealership is
