And I've seen plenty of Ford 6.7's that have blown up. Oilfield trucks that are in ND that run for days on end and never regen, eventually the exhaust plugs off and it drops a valve. 26K later you're ready to do it again!

Yeah the regen is important. We have guys at work that skip the regen on the truck all the time. The mechanic hates it.

I would have to disagree with you on the new ford. I drive a 2016 f250 diesel for work. It has the worst turbo lag of any new diesel. I really like the way the chevys run. But when the turbo kicks in the truck does move geat.

Don't get me wrong the Cummins motors are great. but everything that is put around it right is crap.

I think daily driving the Chevy was the best all around. I just felt the ford took off compared to the other two. But did not like the interior. I'd buy the dodge all day if I were buying a diesel. The Chevy would be my second pick. I tossed around the idea of a diesel for a while. In the end I'm buying a tundra next month.

all new diesels suck ass. unless you like to pee into a tank. and the DPF stuff is garbage. it uses more fuel to clean them than not having them.
you can thank california and their CARB and AQMD for all the bull shit.
im sorry colorado people, i did move from komiefornia out here, but i hate that state.

Congrats on the tundra. Are you going to be a mod now too? :D

I will probably get a 3/4ton chevy after the taco is all paid off. I agree the ford interior is lacking in design. But dodge is lacking in quality other than their motor. In my opinion chevy did geat at pairing the next best diesel on the market with the Alison trany.

My Dpf does a great job hanging out in my side yard and going back on every 2 years.

A buddy with a 2012 did his and gained 3-4 mpg right off the bat. His was cracked and Dodge wouldn't warranty it. So he said fuck it and ditched it.

I agree with you on the def bs. I will probably buy pre-2011 chevy. Even though I love the look of the new ones.

Thanks. I still have to go pick it up. That will be a fun road trip. The Chevy is nice. My best fired has a 2015 3500. He tows just about every day and he's happy with the purchase.
