Hello folks. I need a little help with a couple of installations that I'm planning to complete over the next few months. First, I'm going to purchase and install the OEM Audio + Reference 450 Q stereo system. Secondly, I'd also like to install a Cobra 75 WX ST CB radio. I've watched OEM's online installation videos demonstrating how to wire the stereo amplifier directly to the battery. In addition, from what I've read here on TW and in other places it seems that wiring the CB directly to the battery is the best way to reduce/eliminate any interference from the rest of the vehicle's electronics. My question is this: if I connect both the power wires from the stereo amp and CB directly to the battery could I, or would I have any interference one with another. Basically, I'm going for a nice, clean sound from my stereo system with no interference from the CB, and vise versa. Any help, suggestions, or guidance will be very much appreciated.

    Thanks!

If both are wired directly to the battery you should not have any issues. I have both an aftermarket steroids system as well as cb. The biggest issue you will have for clarity from each other is to ensure that you run quality coax and to proper tune your antenna. And if able route your power wires away from other power wires (not always possible and it's not that big a deal).

Include inline fuses in your wiring.
