    OP, when you get tired of touching up, consider white Monstaliner to refinish the stone guard area.

    Will have a reasonable texture, much tougher product than paint.

    BTW, are your chips really down to metal? Or is it just taking the white coat off the stone guard?

    Stone guard is a finish applied before the paint goes on, and is pretty difficult to get off. Familiar with some folks of other marquees who wanted to remove that to get a smooth finish on a show vehicle, and it was a-lot-o-work.

    I don't know how I have avoided it but I removed my mudflaps awhile ago and have not gotten any paint damage. I live down a 3/4 mile long gravel driveway and drive on plenty of shitty/rocky roads in addition to that. I actually found that the mudflaps did more damage while they were on than I have incurred since I have taken them off. They rubbed on my fenders and removed paint in some places, while leaving ugly black residue in others. Whatever you choose, make sure they they bolt on nice and tight.

    The objective of something like monstaliner in a situation like this is protection of damaged ares and being more durable for future events. While it will look better, it may or may not 'fill in'. If you want OE looks, well, it will cost more and be just as subject to damage as you have experienced.

    Is like to repair before putting sliders on. Right now I have steel protectant on. I'm thinking. Primer, touch up paint, monstaliner, then sliders?
