Only thing I could think would be gussets then. I thought you meant the latch wasn't tight enough allowing the whole swing out to wiggle when "latched"

ah, just found your page with all the prices. Just something pretty simple. I think the amber halos would look good though. If I had you build me some it would

Made some quick release door hinges today! Gunna build some tube doors when I get the chance. Only took about 30 minutes a side. Only real reason is for the occasional beach day when it would be fun to drive over to chelan without the doors

Bumper hinge snapped again.. Got tired of working on it so I removed the swingout. Went camping the other night and realized how much I love seeing the stars so I took the canopy off as well. Getting tires and rims some time soon. Even with no weight in the back these dakars aren't nearly as bad as everyone makes them out to be.

You need a clamping style lock, that other thing allows too much play and the extra play combined with a bearing that was never designed for sheer loads causes even more play. Basically a real tire carrier spindle and a clamp handle.

Might want to look at getting 4x innovations hinge and weld that on.

That might look sweet! I might be heading over to CDA Idaho to pick up some rims
For sale on CL. So I'd pass through Spokane.

Yeah you're probably right. If I get the time and resources I'll chop off the 1" rod I have now, and weld the bar to a hinge built for this kind of load.

yeah I was looking at those, also comp4x4 sells some. I actually bought a big spindle, but returned it when I thought this bearing system would work better. :annoyed:

Any reason these wouldn't fit on the Tacoma 6x5.5? Picking them up hopefully this weekend but want to make sure they'll work before driving out there.

Hey says they have 3.5" of offset..8.5" wide. I'm Assuming that will be enough to clear the 33x12.5s with the 3" lift?

I'm about 90% sure those won't fit because they have the smaller GM center hub size, same bolt pattern smaller hub. SEE MY EDIT You could get spacers that adapt them, or just about any machine shop could bore them out properly. Also if your gonna go through Spokane, gimme a heads up and we can meet up if I'm not working. I don't have the Tacoma badges at my apartment, but I could ship one if you don't mind waiting until mothers day weekend.

EDIT: Nevermind, I looked at those wheels again, they may have the correct bore, best to just call the seller and ask for center hub size. Should be 106mm to fit on a Toyota hub.

I edited my post above, those might be correct but you'll have to call the seller to find out.

Love them. What size did you get? Only complaint is they are hard to balance/keep balanced.. They require a lot of weight. But they are the best snow tire I've run and have amazing traction.

Nice, I got 33x12.5s. Considered going 35s but I didn't want to have to spend all that money on re-gearing right away, which would have been necessary with 35s. Eventually I'll run 4.88s though.
