Pelfreybilt slider installation

I was wondering if anyone has some info on how to install Pelfreybilt bolt on sliders. I have some on order and would like to get an idea of what will be involved. thanks

 

Pelfreybilt got back to me with instructions. Doesn't look too difficult. Looks like its 6 bolts a side with no drilling.

Do you guys recommend I drill out more holes?

 

How long did they take you to install? Trying to get those instructions too

 

I haven't installed them yet as they are currently getting powder coated. I was at the dealership which ordered them for me and they were installing the Sliders they bought for their new 2016 parts truck. I talked to the guy installing them and he said he figured 2 hours with him doing it by himself.
There is no difference between the he 15 and the 16 sliders. There are 6 bolts per side using existing holes. No drilling needed. I was going to get them to install but after seeing how easy it is I will do it myself.
Pelfreybilt should be able to send you the instructions. If you can get them I can send them your way.

Cool to hear that there's a dealer selling Pelfreybilt's stuff! Though 2 hours to tighten 12 bolts into pre-existing holes seems... long.

Amazing how little Toyota actually changed from 2015 to their "All New 2016 Tacoma".

 

I think it might be because you have to move the brake lines but I'm not sure, mine were already installed a long time ago properly, then unbolted recently by a place in town to be rhino lined, then they put them back on but I think they put them back on wrong.

 

Interesting. Didn't even think about brake lines. I suppose they run through the frame don't they? lol Just take them out... probably don't need them anyhow....

 

Hahaha they include a mount to reroute them, it's only on the drivers side though

 

Makes sense. I believe the brake lines for both rear wheels come down the driver side frame and then cross over to the passenger side from there. Though it's been a while since I crawled under and looked.
