I have a 2015 DCSB PreRunner and my SR8s will be here in the next week, so i need to decide on the rubber / lift.

Have you seen anyone run the 275/70R17 KO2s w/ the OME 884s (no top plate spacers). I realize they would fit with the 885s, but I really want to hold off on UCAs for now. I realize many people get different results w/ the 885s, some can get a good alignment, and some can't.

I do not want to settle for 265/70/17s and then regret not going w/ 285s. I think the 275s are a good medium.

    Thoughts? Any alternatives?

    You're saying CMC to 275/70R17s w/ 884s?

I'm a first gen. But I would cmc anything over 265's on a 2nd. Its not a huge deal and if you go 275's, youre probably gonna wish you went with 285's.
I still think its a bit odd that 1st gens can run 285's and have no rubbing whatsoever but 2nds need a cmc.
It's not a big deal to have it done correctly. I mean....you may be alright but then again....

Hmm, I did not think a cmc was required for 275/70/17... Sub'd for more info.

i dont think it does. I think alot of the issue many people have dealing with the power loss and mpg difference in jumping from the Load C range of the KO2 in a 265/70R17 to Load E range of the 275/70R17. I wish the 275 KO2 was a Load C tire.

after wheeling this weekend... i can tell you anything bigger than my 265/75R16 would need a cab mount chop / pinch weld flattening / inner fender removal for sure.

Im on the same boat as you about the tires OP..

However, with the suspension set up, I went with the Billies (5100's) all around along with the OME 884 Coils set on "0" for the front since I have the PreRunner with no future plans of going with heavy duty bumpers or a winch.. I wanted the 885's as I originally wanted a 3" lift set at "0".

But after much research and thought, I opted for the 2.50" (+/-) lift instead, which lead me to get the OME 884's. After looking at a lot of pics and research, I made up my mind and will most likely go with the KO2's in 275/70/17 as it will fill up the fender/wheel gap nicely with the lift set up that I have..

Unfortunately, I don't have any pics at the moment.. my lift kit and wheels are not yet installed.. I have my lift kit sitting in the garage right now.. Im just waiting to get the rear leaf spring recall done, then I'll definitely install my lift kit. Im also waiting on Vin's call so I can swing by the shop and pick up my Stealth 6's.. :dancingbacon:

    Here's my suspension set up:
    -Billies 5100 all around
-OME 884 Coils (set on "0") with a 1/4" HS spacer to correct the "taco lean"
-Icon 3 Leaf AAL for the rear
-SPC LR UCA (i wanted to hold off on this as I was on a budget, but I just bit the bullet and bought the UCA's to save the headache of having to install them and get the truck re-aligned AGAIN), in other words, "do it right the first time"

    My wheels and tires set up;
    -SCS Stealth 6's 17x8.5's
-Either BFG KO2's in 265/70/17 or the 275/70/17 (most likely choice)

I'd be more than happy to post pics and answer any other questions once I have everything installed and set up..

    good luck OP!

Thinking about same setup, minus the uca.

Do you plan to install the rear aal with or without the factory overload?

I plan on installing the AAL with the factory overload. My stock set up right now has about a 2" rake, and I'd like to retain that stance.. Also, I load up the bed with 300-400lbs worth of crap every now and then and wouldn't want it to be nose high.. So yeah, more than likely I'll be installing it with the factory overload..
