Yeah I imagine, my swap was straightforward but I did shop around for parts for a loooong time.

Question for you guys who have been before. I've never been but am looking to make at least a day trip eventually. Wish I knew more about it when I lived in Raleigh for those 6 years. Are all of the trails rated for vehicles or are you only allowed to ride dirt bikes/4wheelers on some?

All are rated for vehicles. Some/all are available for bikes/wheelers, *note: non-highway legal vehicles are not allowed on fire roads*

Come ride along with me if your trucks not able to make it.

Sounds good. I'd love to make it out there this summer for sure. Even if it's just for a day trip. I'd love to take the tent or travel trailer out there. Everything on mine is still stock at the moment. Just waiting for these tires to wear down and get some other bills paid off before I start modding it. Figured it would at least make it down the easy trails.

You'd surprise yourself where a stock truck will go with a decent driver.

yep that's what I was thinking myself. I had a 2011 prerunner before with just some ATs on it. Took that thing everywhere and with a little patience it would surprise you.

Hey guys, checking in from Wilmington, new to the forum and Tacomas. Was wondering if anyone near Wilmington would be willing to help me with a bilstein 5100 lift kit install. I'm clueless with this stuff and will pay for help... Lol

Man I wish I was down in Wilmington already!

For what it's worth it's very simple and there are some great step-by-step guides as well as YouTube videos. Take a look at them.

Hardest and most frustrating part is getting the spindle out of the upper control arms. Do yourself a favor and rent one of the ball joint pullers from autozone.
