Hadnt thought about that. Would be a reason to go with goggles, my shoei gets foggy too some.

Thanks everyone. I'll probably go try some on next week

Huh thats odd, maybe the conditions were different? Different helmets, visors and goggles too. On my sedico helmet the visor fogs up if its closed and im going less than 10mph no matter what. I didnt have my 100% strata goggles fog once up in cinders.

Average temp saturday was around 37deg and super high humidity.

Check out the quoted post above too, your results may vary.

I doubt it, but do dual sport helmets offer pinlock inserts? My pinlock insert got rid of 100% of any fogging issues I had.

Yeah, probably a ton of different factors. Mine happened when it was 80+ outside lol
I'm guessing not because I have no idea what that is.

It's an insert that attaches to the visor screen and prevents fogging. Think it's some silicone or something. I don't run one.

It's a thin lens that pins into place on the inside of your normal visor. It basically creates an outlet for moisture to escape so there's no fogging.

pinlock is awesome. I can't imagine why everyone doesn't run one.

Quick research says only Arai XD4 offeers a pinlock visor....which is another $100 on top of the $600 for the lid.

So I have used GoPro's before and have enjoyed them despite their expensive nature and bulky size.

I have never truly researched the current specs on them or the competition and am hoping someone can fill me in on both the technical and review/experience!

Is the top two stil GoPro and Sony ActionCams? Which one is more ideal (Cost, functions, weight, size, battery life and power form.. Internal or external battery, same for harddrives.. Size - internal or external etc) and which one is possibly proven more reliable long term.

Honestly I don't want to ride around with a GoPro on my helm for street use.... Dirt sure all day lol. So size is weighted pretty strongly. I don't mind if a battery is internal or external but optional external can be useful for reasons to come. I don't ride on the road for much longer than 3 hours a day max. Removeable drives is nice for easy transferring recordings but loop style recording works for me just as well. I like the benefits of both style equally and can accomadate effortlessly. Lastly weight should obviously be reasonable but I don't have a weak neck so don't need to be unrealistic about it.

Functions don't need to be too extreme and I don't mind reading up about it in detail on my own, just maybe tell me the keypoints to look for and/or the difference in functions between the products?

I also want to install audio/mic into my helm if possible. I have a Scorpion 1200 series currently for road use. My offroad helm is a one industries. Not afraid to do fabrication if need be.

Sorry for such a longish post and paragraph form, doing this from my phone while at work. To sum up order of importance Size, Functions, battery/hdd, weight, cost. I'll try to think up of a thank you thing or gift to the most helpful response since I am asking for a good bit of effort lol

Thanks in advance to whoever attempts to help me

Drift Ghost might be a good option, Drift Stealth (what I have) is smaller but you can't plug a mic into it.

I heard its not that great. But what do i know?

I think you'd be better off getting a GoPro or ActionCam or that Drift thing
