Just got delivery of my TRD Sport Black last week. I've been busy doing some mods but will not post any pics until my BAMF grill goes on it! Thanks for all your hard work JLee!

Could not wait... took off my grille in preparation for JLee's.

Here is a youtube video I found helpful.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0K0Q2XJwlMk

Few Hints about removing the grille.
    1. 2 screws and 2 plastic tabs on top ( center plug on plastic tabs need to be pryed up first to remove).
4 plastic tabs along the bottom.
    2. After removing above, gently lift up on plastic that is resting on where the 2 screws were. Pulls out easily.
    3. Video does a good job of explaining which screws and tabs to address. HINT: When unlocking the tabs I found it much easier to get one started, then pull that piece( bezel first, then chrome grille) from the front slightly to maintain tension while I used the other hand to loosen the next tab. I went around the grill using this technique and did not break any tabs. I gently used a standard screwdriver head to push the tabs in to loosen. Don't push too hard into the tab otherwise the center piece will break off. Only matters if you want to keep the original grille.

For people getting matching color insert with the brighter truck colors, like inferno and Blue, are you a bit worried the insert will be a bit too much "bling"? I have an inferno and I am thinking of getting either the silver or MGM insert. I think the little bit on contrast with the black grille might be just enough.

    Any thoughts?

I have thought about this and am also a little (not much) worried about it. I got the inferno back plate knowing I can always take it out and paint/plastidip one side of it and flip it around. A lot harder to match inferno later on, and would prefer it to show up that way.

You will not be able to flip the blacking plate I made some changes to the plate for a stronger hold as well as ease of install and removal it's now a formed part with nutserts in it. So to change it you would have to paint over the front of the plate of buy a replacement plate from us that will be available on the site.

Then Plastidip it is until the spares are available. Still awesome that I have the option at all. Really a selling point for me.

Should look slick color matched. It's going to have some demension which means the letters won't look flat like they were glued on. The shadow and contrast from the black powder coated grille with a color matched plate for the toyota lettering is going to pop just right without going over the top.

I absolutely agree! I am convinced color matched is going to look awesome! I just love having the option to change it up down the road.
