What is so dumb about asking "why is there no bolt in this threaded hole on top my new engine"? Really?

I can find 100 holes with no bolts. If there isn't oil gushing out of it, don't worry about it.

Do you need to know, or care?
    Gotta agree with JoeyDel here.

Maybe my impression of TW is wrong but I thought it was a place to ask questions or make inquiries on your vehicle. Or maybe a place for inquisitive folks to ask before they buy. IDK, but maybe just easier to ignore the post than comment on how dumb a question is, when in fact, it ain't so dumb.

What makes this a bad thread isn't the fact that the OP is asking a question. I think it's the fact that it's pretty obvious that it's not a hole that bolts the valve cover on. If you had time to take a picture I'm sure you had time to look at the hole and threads. I can tell from the picture it's not a bolt for the valve cover. I think the problem was the wording of the title. Don't take this the wrong way OP. I understand your curiosity of what that thread hole may be for and if there is any reason to be concerned. I can also see how it opens a can of worms for the 3rd gen haters who look at the thread thinking "another 3gen issue" and the trolls come out to play. That being said. Let's just let this thread die before Blue T comes in here and tells us how this is just another one of Toyotas design flaws and how it has some negative effect on some part of the truck. And how you should buy something different because the 3rd gen is a POS, and if you can't then you should take it back and bitch that you want a new truck...

It's where the blinker fluid reservoir bolts in. Looks like they forgot to install yours from the factory.
