Eh some people don't want to or can't afford to break parts and some don't plan on hanging on to their trucks forever so they like to keep em in good condition. .

I know I can't afford to break anything right now which is why I haven't wheeled in a while.

    Priorities suck :(

My truck has 7000 miles on it. She's not ready for it yet. She's still a minor and I'm not risking it.

On the flip side, wheel while new and all the parts are still new! If you wait till 200,000 miles then all the parts are gonna be worn out and break easier

But if I wait and get her ready for it then the first time will be incredible. Rather than rushing into it.

Got a bunch of play in my steering wheel after just installing a new power steering rack 5k miles ago... Think I found the culprits 07060431c506e3b1fd5b701c61128ecc_c30ca8df7b147ca5a8ea2048cbcf6264bb179274.jpg both bushings look like this.

Yeah I have some play too.. I was trying to see if a tundra rack would fit in place of ours, they are much beefier looking

I have a lot lol. My steering wheel when 'straight' changes every corner. Sometimes its straight. Sometimes it ain't. I thought it was a leaky rack or bad seal but all my fluid is still there so I assume (hope) the bushings are what's the issue.

Good luck finding a better rack lol tons of people in the Long travel section don't even know how to fix it. They just buy a new rack every now and then lol

Toyota makes a lot of beefy parts but they skipped out on the steering rack for us.

Yeah, I think i saw someone on pirate talk about putting in a long double ended psc.. But idk if they ever did it. Id be okay with doing a new mount to get better steering and more life out of the rack.

I have a set of Energy suspension steering rack bushings but they aren't doing much good in a box. Maybe next week's project........

Close enough. I don't know of anyone in this thread with a S/C. A lot of us can't justify the price/power ratio honestly.
