    Hmmmmmm......I fear there might not be a large enough market for that.

    Yea you're prolly right. It's the ideal setup for me though. I'll look into other options. Hate using these boards. Thanks for your time anyway!

    Hey Chad -- got the voodoo rack and my RTT installed last week, thanks for an awesome product. What about the following:

    Would it be possible to buy these bars and then make a plywood base that attaches to the cross bars and sits flush with the top of my bed (with a cut-out or two for the rack attachments? This would give me a lot of lockable storage for camping underneath and while not as entirely secure as a topper, it would get me pretty close. Has anyone done anything like that?

    If anyone has and has pictures, I'd love to see it.

    Hmm.... might give it a go then. I'll take a look again tonight and see if there are any impediments to the idea I can come up with...

    I would suggest either marine grade plywood, or a good coat of polyurethane.

    Man you could even cut some hinged doors in the plywood for quick access from up top.

    I'm thinking I'd like to mount brackets on top of the Tonneau that the bars would mount to? Leaving the bars off most of the time. I have a Armor Lid thats ABS. Black PC'd would be perfect? thoughts?

    The bars mount to the cleats, so I'm not sure what you mean.

    All my other crossbars attach to the cleats. I don't know of any that attach to a cover.

    @HB Taco
    You could very easily attach his crossbars to a bracket on top of a cover. There are plenty of diy ways to make a bracket that would mount to your tonneau,assuming it's the one in your sig photo. I considered this very thing if I wound up buying the undercover SE from a forum member
