What are your opinions on the duratracs and the KO2's. I drive mostly highway and will hopefully be meeting up with you guys to do some light wheeling and the occasional trip to outer banks beaches. Finally got the wife to approve new tire purchase.

After months of researching reviews, Ill be staying away from Duratracs.

I too will do surf fishing in Hatteras and Delaware beaches, light wheeling and snow when it falls. Ill be most likely going with Cooper Discovery Maxx ST 255/85-16. KO2 was first choice but that price tag for a name brand...

I love my duratracs. I have'em on my runner & my taco. I rotate them every other oil change and no wear or noise issues. They were a bit of a pain to balance but other than that no complaints. My brother has them on his taco and loves'em also. He drives from Bel Air to Crofton 5-6 days a week and he has 30k on them but you can't tell by looking at'em.

I put stickers for more horse power!
I don't know about duratracs but I like my ko2, I have 275/60r16. Same as Dave, I have some issues with balancing too, but I guess all tires about those sizes have the same problem

I've been running duratracs for a while now. Not a bad tire honestly. I have the 265/75r16. I might try new tires when they are up. But seeing how the first set lasted almost 3 years and 50k might be a while since I just put them on in Jan. I do have one tire that has a bad side wall hoping to get it replaced by good year.
