This is normal for the blood work. Next time you need an anesthic (sp) ask them to clean her teeth. You gotta out to do that as well and if there under they might as well go ahead and do it....I have six and it gets kinda expensive....she'll be fine

One of my fosters that got adopted two months ago jumped the fence (for the first time ever--never even tried before) and got hit by a car. He was only two years old. He died instantly. I can't stop crying, and I feel so bad for his people. It was nobody's fault, just a horrible accident. I didn't know where else to post this. I'm sorry to bring the thread down momentarily.

I am so sorry to hear this news, especially this time of year. I guess you read Chris 4x4 lost his dog, Molly. I know this is after the fact but I would highly recommend to you and those people you deal with to get a product named "Dog Guard" to put in their yards. It is a shock collar training device to keep dogs in a given area. In my case, a half acre of land that is fenced in. My Boxer (only recently) started jumping and climbing my fence because he wanted to run with the joggers in my area. It scared everyone to death. (Remember...Boxers look like Tubby--now who would be afraid of a face like that...smile) I know it would work on pups as I have a pup rescue that I've used it on too. I know some people say it is inhumane but I want to save my dogs life. I've had one rescue (still living) that was hit by a car and cost over $2K to get him put back together and kept alive. He's pretty much fine now but his hind quarters are still affected. As I think you know I have 5 rescues and one I purchased and I love all my animals so I can only think what I have to do to keep my family members alive.

Again I am so sorry for your loss. Please if there is anything I can do...anything at all--do not hesitate to ask.

I just hit the send button when I received another email from my dear friend of mine who lost her Golden Lab last night. He was 14 years old and I had the privlege to baby sit him as a youngster.....My heart goes out to all those animals in passing and to those who are cold and hungry this time of year because of humans and there failure to accept responsibility.

I am sincerely sorry to hear that. I am sorry that you have to go through that. I know your pain and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. They say time heals all wounds. I'm hope they are right, for both our sakes.

Charli, I am very sorry to hear about that. My wifes friend just lost her boxer in a similar way. My heart goes out to those families, and you, during this time. I can't imagine the pain I will feel when I lose my Polar.

Inhumane is what you said in your last sentence. Doing what you can to protect your dog, your family, is called love. Most dogs will only challenge an invisible fence a few times before they learn. I only had to be spanked as a kid a few times before i learned. So do what you can, train them, love them, prevent them, whatever it takes to protect them!

GRRR that is eating me. You are right rme, people do not take the responsibility. It is too easy sometimes. If it doesn't work they will just give it to the SPCA. They don't work at it. We bought our puppy, ONLY because we were turned down by a rescue. Ironically there biggest fear was our lack of fence. As you pointed out, they are NOT foul proof. My wife and I were hurt, but fortunately are very happy now. The day we went to get him, I had knots in my stomach. Why? Because I look at it as a lifetime commitment. There are no returns on a dog, it isn't f-ing Walmart!! Do your research, understand your breed, and work to make them the best they can be. ACCEPT the responsibility!! Sorry for that, RANT OFF.

He doesn't lick Chubs mouth...Tank does jump up in his face and bite at his cheeks and neck to get Chubs to play, but he just whines/growls/barks and Tank doesn't back down. Chubby is too gentle, so I'm going to take Tank to some friends houses to play with their dogs and hopefully learn how to interact better.

Yeah I can't believe I actually caught him with his tongue out, I didn't know till I looked back at the pics. He makes some funny faces I wish I could catch on camera. :D

:( So sorry...I hope the family decides to rescue another dog in need of a loving family. This one can't be replaced, but there are so many dogs in need and they add so much love and joy into our lives.
Charli you are such a great person for what you do for so many dogs.
