The search has begun! Need some help.

So I've begun the search for wheels for my Taco but since I'm a noob to truck modding I'm not sure which size to look for. What size do you guys reccomend ? I need to know what size tire I can go that will be plenty beefy but not too big for a non-lifted truck. Any suggestions would be helpful and any pictures of non-lifted Taco's with wheel mods will be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking about going with a 16x8 or a 16x10 but I'm not sure if a 16x10 will fit stock. I just don't want the wheels and tires to stick out too-too far. What the best size tire I could go with a 16 inch wheel ?

 

the biggest size without a lift on 16's is 265/75/16.

 

Thats what I would go with, Its what I have but I have a 3'' lift.

 

with a 3 inch lift, alot of guys are running 285/75/16 without any problems i believe.

 

You're Taco is looking good and I really like the wheel/tire package you have. Because I don't have a lift (yet) it's hard to picture those big of tires on my truck but you're wheels are dope!. I went to Helo's website and took a look at their wheels but couldn't find any 5-lug, of course. Any more good websites like Helo that carry some really nice wheels ?

 

That they are with slight trimming depending on tires and at the time I was babying my truck, I am goin to upgrade within a year to 285's but for now there good.

 

Any thoughts on the Pro Comp Rockcrawler's ?

 

There are several other 'brands' that look very similar and are a standard black steel wheel. Depending on what size - you can find them for around $60. Procomps are good ones as well as....

I personally have owned both U.S. and AR. My jeep has American Racing AR767 currently. They've been wheeled hard for atleast 3 years. All 3 brands are good stout wheels. If you mess one up, they're nice & cheap to replace.
