My last set of tires were 265's and they just looked too small. I moved up to 285's. They look and feel a lot better.

Sorry, my commute home got me a little feisty. For me personally, I'd rather have a full size under the bed, and then I throw it in the bed while wheeling so it's better accessible.

I have a full size spare and one into two flowmaster exhaust with no issues but this may not help someone with a stock setup.

285's don't require trimming. They require cutting steel.

This is my vote too. :)

My 255/85/16 Cooper ST Maxx won't fit... exhaust hanger and exhaust heat shield are in the way. As someone mentioned a couple pages back I need to hack off my exhaust pipe so it dumps over the axle and then remove the exhaust hanger near the spare tire mount.

My spare pushes against the heat shield. The pipe isn't too hot back there. I'm going to chop my exhaust inboard of the fender. I'm not sure I'm ready to cut it back to the axle.

Do you remember how close hanger was. Really interested in this tire but when I load the fam up for a camping trip there is no room in the bed with all our gear. Wondering if I could nudge it over enough with a big hammer and then add some heat shield tape? Sweet truck by the way love the color match bumpers.

The hanger will adjust when the tire pushes against the heat shield. Mine has been that way for nearly a year. No evidence on the tire.

Take any long road trips? I had a pathfinder that had the resonator rust off which caused the pip after the muffler to exit upwards.. long story short I melted the plastic cargo mat in the rear after taking a 500 mile roadtrip. Now I'm extra cautious about exhaust and heat..
