I lucked out and a fellow Oath Keeper had a guy who knew a guy that had two radios, never planned on using them mobile so sold me one for $30, talk about lucking out! but thanks for the info, I have documented that for others that may run into the same problem.

Hey that's neat. Does it stay glowing at night? I feel like it would loose its "glow" after only a few minutes. Also does it look OEM?

It looks oemish if that's a thing and yea it only stays lit for a little bit. I assume the longer it gets "charged" in the sunlight, the longer it stays lit. I'll take a daytime picture tomorrow so you can see it installed better.

 

It's super easy to change diff oil. I recommend getting one of those pump guns though. I didn't and made quite a mess.

Does anyone got a link to the LED that replaces the dull white colored one in the shifter console?

 

Right now its just nuts and bolts holding it down. Bikes dont weigh much so they stay mounted pretty well. I am thinking about mounting them with a couple thin boards underneath to make it a bit more secure and prevent the slight wobble it gets on bumpy roads.

Make sure you use some rubber seals and some clear silicone adhesive to prevent leaks.

 

Sigh...I've never understood this reasoning. What about your driving style did they blame it on?
