This is probably a dumb question but when you order sliders and Qty says 1..... do I need to order 2 to get a set......it seems they they should automatically be purchased in pairs.......
Well I guess you might only need one to replace a damaged one......

I ordered the front skid and a-arm skids. Do you know whether the front air dam will still fit with the front skid installed?

I have an OR and I put a factory air dam on it and still have my skid on, as long as it bolts up in the same place it will be good to go

The instructions for the front skid plate say to torque the bolts to OEM torque specs. Anyone know what those are?

Josh is an outstanding guy from RCI. He helped me out quite a bit, even with returns due to unforeseen challenges. You cant find a business like this in this age.

cause you get what you pay for man.....pay a little to save a lot later. My buddy has these on his '15 and its saved him a couple of times that would have cost double what the bars cost. If you offroad, it pays for it self in one moment. also a true car door protector in parking lots lol. my buddy had numerous occasions of people not paying attention and swing their doors open and hit the bars, denting in their doors pretty good and saving is doors. lol just sayin.....

Tint, Bed mat, door sill protectors, others pending.
What would the benefit be of getting powder coated sliders? Also, advantages of steel over Aluminum. Obviously aluminum would be about half the weight according to the website. The aluminum would be a little thicker it looks like, so similar strength? Powder coating help with corrosion on aluminum?

The particular aluminum alloy they use (al 5052) is about quarter-to-half the strength of many common types of generic steel. So even the extra 25% thickness (which cuts weight savings to about 1/3 rather than 1/2) doesn't net you the same strength (there's a ton of different ways to calculate it, depending on the direction of impacts and what type of strength you mean... But for all common uses of the word strength it wont come within 25%). Clllaw

A loss of strength, however, isn't necessarily a loss of protection. Aluminum will dent/bend/etc more before breaking, so it may provide protection in sharp, hard impacts that steel would not. But it will be damaged in the process. And, of course, it will act as somewhat of a cushion for the rest of the truck when it flexes on impacts, when compared to steel transferring the same load.

    As for powdercoat:
Pros: It looks pretty. It's tougher than many paints. Protects against corrosion until you scrape it off.
Cons: hard to touch up in a way that looks good. Kinda spendy.

I wouldn't bother with using it on aluminum for corrosion prevention, as aluminum does not significantly corrode beyond getting to the silvery-whitish color that you probably associate with aluminum. Kinda the same as stainless steel.
