    Trying to put post where they belong, but up in the air on this.
    I notice the great posts on Cheap Tacoma Mods, and I wanted to install a Lift Jack but did not want to drill holes.
    But after seeing the post, have the ideas now, question is what size jack to go with, 42" or 48". I see a 3" lift in the future and I want to make sure and cover ALL the bases.

    seen the pic's and will start on that project, will try to adjust one of the large or small cleats to see if that works, if not will do bar stock as in the post.
    I wanted to be sure 48" was not over kill, I have a hard cover on the back so will have to lower a little. And will post pic's when complete.

    Only drilling on my part was bolt holes in the brackets. So I'm not sure how you'd mount it without some sort of fabrication or drilling..... Other than just tossing it in the bed.

    pick up the 48", had an idea...but of course did not work, may look at the bolt idea, but I need to lower it a little due to the top I have on the bed.

    I used to have a cover that I needed the jack mounted lower for too.

    Just got back for a trip, so was able to take a good look see. I tried the cleat idea buy taking it apart, but I do not believe the bolt will hold up, plus besides having it lower, I am going to have to bring it out a little to clear the jack base.
    I bet I will go with everyone ideas and put it all together.

    Followed the ideas from everyone here, plus added my own.
    It is pretty much solid, the only movement (very little) is the base, and I am already brain-storming on that.
