When you brake hard, you obviously heat things up. If you stop hard and hold the pedal down, the spot under the pads can't cool with the rest of the rotor. Always let the vehicle roll a bit after stopping so the rotor cools evenly.

 

I asked my neighbor about the brake issues. He claims that larger, big ass tires are harder to stop, hence heating up the rotors more. He recommends slotted rotors to help with cooling. He also mentioned rolling a few inches after a stop. It makes sense I guess

 

Holes in the rotor can accumulate debris if you wheel your rig. Just a thought as I sit in the Cleveland airport trying to flee Ohio.

 

I always coast to redlights so as to not have to down shift as much and mine are warped. I asked the service writer she said its cause i park outside and debris gets in there. Lmao dumbass. I never stop hard.
