so anyone going to bring a swr meter? i just got a hold of a cobra 19 and a antenna from fry's. didnt have the time to order online for the lil wil or the firestick.

 

yea Ill bring mine. I gotta tune it since my antenna is off so Im gonna try to get their 30 minutes early and tune it. Ill be driving a mag grey prerunner.

 

Well the BMW has about 205k miles on it so when it cost too much to fix the truck becomes the DD.

Yeah I would say I am about 2-2.5 inches...he said 2.5 I just wanted to make sure my truck was level. I have the rear leaf TSB. I have standard UCAs as well. I have put it up against another truck that had spacers and 265 75 17 and my truck was still higher so when I get bigger tires it will look nice...I am not all about the crazy high lift...if it give me better clearance I am all for it, but I am not going to crank it up just to crank it up..

 

I'll have one as well...just picked up up form Frys. 12.99 and cable for 3.99

 

yea thats gonna look/perform nice: 2.5 inches of lift with some 285s and the body mount chop mod to finish it off and do things right. Nice truck man. Im still on the fence about mine but itll come to me soon.

 

I will probably just go 265/75/16...I don't think I want the rubbing issue but we'll see. I will have an aftermarket bumper put on as well...but in time.

Sliders, skids, bumper will be my next mods...so time to start saving again.

 

Nice. Are you gonna do it all with ALL PRO or you gonna pick n choose parts from various companies?

 

I do like All Pro, because I will know what I am getting at least with the bumper. I like the design and a lot of people i know that run that bumper really like it.

But I also know a few local people that can fab stuff up for me and I know they do good work as well. I am working on sliders with him now to see what he can do for me.

I am also considering Bud Built for the skids, it's just that I would have to get it shipped.

 

Im thinking about getting me a CB tomorrow and hopefully can install it by Sat.

Get that thing installed Friday. You will not have time to do it Saturday.

 

It's not looking good at all for me. There is still a chance though. I'm supposed to go to a chargers game on Sunday but I guess that's not happening either.

It sucks that I set up the thread and then can't go. But at least I get to know you guys will have fun.

I just sold my ticket to the game cause I have family in town...but above market value so that's extra cash for me .

714-390-2649 if anyone needs anything. Itll still be fun. I've only been up there like 3x but I know about half of the bypasses, Ill still be doing all of them though. Even if we dont know the bypasses I think we can stop for a few minutes, get out of our trucks, and just get a general view of whats ahead, and take it accordingly. If Roland goes, that guy is like a map, seems to know everything really well. If not, we'll still have lots of fun, specially the locked 4x2 guys as the trails challenge you to drive efficiently and smart. Cant wait to see you guys there!

Re8elmonk0341: x2 for getting it installed friday. I dont know how you are about wires and the cleanliness of your truck but Im pretty anal so I tried to hide as many wires as possible and mount my CB as clean as possible, so it took me 2.5 hours.

 

He bailed because he realized he is poser offroader : )
