Hey y'all just checking in from the south. How is new England doing. Storm troopers weren't fans of my shirt so I am now a prisoner of the first order for two more days. Thanks to my wife for getting me the shirt I've had a lot of attention today. First time in Disney at 25 lol

Morning all. I had a good night with my oldest. She was inducted into the educators honor society last night. We went out to dinner to celebrate. It is always nice to have some alone time with her to catch up on what's going on. Next week is the dean's list awards, I won't be able to be there but Lisa will support her for that one.

My youngest is doing the college tours. She is looking all out of state except for UMass Amherst. She is looking in Vermont, New York (up state) and Pennsylvania. It will be tough having her that far from home, when I miss number 1 I just go take her for dinner but I won't have that option with number 2.

Where abouts in upstate NY? It's a nice trip, great places to vacation and camp (and ski in the winter months).

She looked at Suny Canton. It was about 7 hours to get there. She is looking at one near buffalo also but I forget the name of that one. She wants to work with animals, so most of the schools are in the suburbs atleast if not out in farm country

Just alittle update from last Sunday . We went to the MS 5 mile walk in Manchester. I know some people from here donated money and my family just wanted to say thank you. As a team we raised over $1000 which is awesome ! The event raised $75,000 to help find a cure for MS. My son Parker made it on the local news. Here are some photos I stole from Facebook. Thanks again everyone that donated.

UMass Amherst has stepped up their game a ton from when I looked at it back in 2004. I loved Northeastern however for the price and for what they teach you a lot of the kids that I know who graduated from Umass Lowell had a ton more hands on design experience or machining experience. Luckily I ran the machine shop at NEU for a few years and did a lot of design on my interns because NEU didn't teach me anything in that aspect....

Makes a huge difference to go to a school where people stay on campus over the weekend, Umass Lowell was all commuters which turned me away from them. Gotta enjoy that college campus life for a few years - it really helps define who you are and how strong your liver is.....

I commuted my entire college career. 2 yrs at Massasoit which is all commuter. I did see a difference at Curry where you have both, but financially it didn't make sense to live there

My oldest is at BSU which is a suitcase school and she definitely isn't getting a true campus life experience.

If I had my way they would sign a contract with a service branch of their choice.
