Maybe we just haven't found the right drawer system for hooker storage/transport yet?

Mostly looking at storage and lighting.

Rear bumper is a ways off. Need to get a shell or soft top before the middle of summer. Last two I tried for was always left holding the wet deuce.

the wife also wants a trailer. Gotta prioritise

Yeah, I'm definitely in Habitat vs FWC comparison mode. I think the PW Tailgate height plus the roof/awning overhead could get real annoying. But loading/unloading and storage of a slide-in FWC isn't easier either.

Teardrops are too small. Got two little ones to add into the mix.

Leaving with a fridge will be easy. Almost bought one last year.

I have a Flippac now and genuinely love it. I perform regular maintenance on it and haven't seen any of the issues that others complain about. If my arm still worked right I'd be keeping it.

I'm interested in the new habitat and share some of the concerns that others do about the height of the lid when opened and how easy access below it will be.

If it was available in the states, and I'm genuinely trying to get one, I'd have an Alu-Cab Ossewa. As my son gets older and socializes with others more he has taken to inviting a friend to camp when we don't go too far from home. Having the ability to sleep four without additional modification is ideal and I'm willing to admit that I don't really carry anything of significance in the bed anymore that I couldn't load onto my flatbed trailer.

a lot of thruth there. However, without a trailer-esc solution, Im out of camping as my back and neck prevent me from tent camping

Hey guys. I've been trying to organize my overlanding storage organization solution.

I'm leaning toward ripping my third row of seats out and putting in 2 drawers that span the width of the seats. I think they can be up to 8" tall and still sit flush when I fold all my seats down. Then I want to put a cargo slide on top of that that slides out 100% I think it can be a great storage solution for my needs.

Kinda like this but 2 of the drawers and no fridge.. What do you think?

What's the motivation/use of the cargo slide? Seems like extra weight/complication/noise/cost and loosing an inch or 2 of height for a fairly short distance.

I got the idea from the truck vault slides. I think it's cool to be able to reach the stuff in the back without having to pull other things out. I suppose that I could reach it from the back seat though. Could also use the slide as a table though.

What's the weight of your 3rd row seats vs. the cargo slide?

Third row is approximately 110 pounds. These drawers and cargo slide would be around 60-70

Sounds like not much of a weight gain... You could build a pretty nice slide with home depot supplies for a fraction of the cost of Goose Gear though
