Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
How the fuck did this thread go from a problem with a girls truck to a pissing match? If you guys have an issue with each other, or want to measure dicks, do it in someone else's thread.

OP, I hope your issue gets resolved quickly. I would hate for a new truck to be down an engine so soon. However, I would feel confident that they may make it better for you. Did you ask them for a loaner car in the meantime?

That's cause nobody buys those ugly POS's.

You might see 1 to every 10,000 Chevy, Ford and Toyota trucks in north Texas.

There's a bunch here in FL even though there are more Tacomas.

If someone actually checks out the frontier forum there are quite a few disgruntled ex-Tacoma owners that own Frontiers now and are happy with them. I know the fanboy-ism is strong in this forum, but I thought it would be interesting to point out.

Good for them. I used to have a great Pathfinder, and always found the Xterra to be interesting. I drove an Xterra for a week in Florida and it was fun. But look at what Nissan did to the Pathfinder. The Xterra is gone. The Frontier still looks like it is from the 80's. The Titan looks like a Ford. The folks at Nissan have shown they make illogical decisions. No way I'd spend my hard earned dollars with them.

I am not a rabid fanboy of Toyota. The 2016 Tacoma certainly has me looking more closely across the entire truck and SUV market. Definitely not rushing to get rid of my 2013 until things settle more.

I agree that what Nissan did to the Pathfinder was a huge mistake. Seemed like they were trying to imitate Ford's move with the Explorer.

Christ, that was a lot of BS to read to pick out 2 or 3 relevant posts.

Interested to see how it turns out for the OP's truck.

Thats only because no one buys Frontiers, subsequently no one to chat on the forum! Just kidding....kinda.

Aside from the rust issue, 2 gens are arguably the most reliable vehicle on the planet, just ask our vets who use them abroad, or the dudes on here with 250k plus miles, I mean shit, the resale value on them speaks to that as well.

Reading this post kinda makes me think if I made a good desision on getting a Tacoma. I bought a Toyoda truck because I have always heard that they are the best at long lasting and keeping their value. Now I'm fearing that isn't the case. Maybe I should have waited a few years before buying a brand new Gen truck

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Next time you'll take the advice of anyone who has two halves of a clue and not buy a first generation/model year of ANY redesign from anyone.

We've already had this discussion. Look at the problem history of the 2nd gen. 2005 wasn't the worst year for problems.

Haha, it's keeping me entertained regardless. The company Toyota goes through (enterprise) for loaner vehicles is shady as hell. Despite my brother claiming each scratch and dent on a loaner before accepting it, they still managed to charge him $500 for a "hood dent" that was stated to be higher in severity upon return of the car after 2 days. Same thing with a friend of mine who found a screw in the tire after the enterprise associate drove away. Called immediately (with the same mileage as drop off indicating the car hadn't moved) and was told to replace the entire tire or a charge will occur.
Was just another hoop I didn't want to jump through with the company so I chose against it. Borrowing my father's truck for the time being to get to and from work.
