    63. The only difference is the hubs and you can swap them if you want to go fullwidth. I was building one for a yj i used tk have, and a friend of mine has one in his zj thats shaved and has more clearence than a d44 without shaving the ring gear!

What's the wms on that Fj80 rear axle? I'd still like to replace mine with something that matches the width of the front

Hmm tons aren't my cup of tea on a first gen, especially with the fj60 axles already under it but everybody wants a cookie cutter rig now :luvya:

Good luck with the wiring problems and swapping to links/tons

I understand what you're saying and was opposed to it at first. I like that my truck is unique with the cruiser axles but I want stability but I don't want to lower the truck therefore I have to go wider. I can do that with diamonds but at $1075 for the front housing, $850 for the rear, $940 in custom length shafts, plus the ~$3k I already have in my axles tons start to make more sense since I can build a set for $3500-$4k and get my width and be much stronger that cruiser/diamonds. I'll have room to grow for when I decide to turn up the boost, go v8, or go to 42's. I wouldn't be able to do that on the cruiser/diamond setup. Yes the thirds would hold, but the birfs will not. Plus if I start breaking shafts nobody stock cruiser stuff whereas 1 ton parts I can have overnighted from ECGS should I break 6+ hours away from home on a week long or weekend trip.

Oh and wiring has been resolved. Can't order more link parts till I figure out what I'm doing with my axles

Totally understand why you'd do it if you are looking to go bigger than 40's, LS, etc.

I'm just one of the holdouts with 4 angry squirrels, 37's and mini truck junk lol

I was looking through your thread to see how much you inboarded the rear, and stumbled upon this. Figured i would bump it to the top with the recent build changes....:luvya:

Haha fuck off! Was an accurate statement before I wanted to throw more boost at it. If money wasn't an issue I'd still go diamonds but $2k for tons make more sense to me than $6k for diamonds

How much did you end up inboarding the rear? Trying to figure out if my front end will be a floppy mess being 2.5" narrower in the front.

6" overall. I think 2.5" will be a happy medium between stability and travel.

I'm going to be using some stiff stock fj60 rear springs with some leafs pulled, so it all may balance out. I did it for steering clearance with narrowish axles and convenience.

I guess if its too bad i can slap a way bar on it for the street.

Not inboarding the rear. I inboarded the front a bit.
