I thought so as well.

Shaws was being an idiot in that game and poorly represented himself, however there have been far greater playoff blackeyes over the years that get glazed over. What about the flyers/pens playoff series in 2010 where people were intentionally spearing each other and just about evrey whistle in that series resulted in a big ass brawl?

Or people just like to feel offended and victums by evreything. They are making this sound like he was committing a hate crime or something.

 

The Philly fiasco matched with the Andrew Shaw debacle is disgusting.

 

So people doing stuff on the ice to each other that would get you put in jail for assault off the ice, is fine, yet being televised saying fuck you fag is disgusting.

he did both in last nights game. He called the ref a f-king f-g first when he was breaking up the scrum and then again in the penalty box. But Shaw was "emotional" so he cant remember what he did. He'll enjoy the hawks playoff loss at home after a 1 game suspension

In soccer there is a term for this , " bringing the game into disrepute " and players get suspended and fined

 

I guess I am just to old to be bothered by this stuff. I get that it is offensive to some in our super politically correct world. IMO people need to stop being so offended at everything and get over it.
