EZView Mirrors from Trail Toys (Aspherical Blind Spot Mirrors)

Well it wasn't the longest test ever, but I like the the coverage right off the bat I could tell the benefits! Just need to gain more driving time to get used to that fisheye effect. Great product Nathan!

Lol, normally these stickers come with that top sheet you peel off, this one didn't have that. Luckily I hadn't put my TW sticker on yet either so I reused the top from that one on yours. Worked out great! Thanks again for a great product!
Got some great highway time in them over the weekend, a good 6 hrs bouncing around southern Maine and back. Mirrors definitely take some getting used to, but I love them.

 

I'm glad you like them. What happened to the transfer paper? Did it get peeled off in the packaging somewhere? It was on there, I swear!

 

lol, I have no idea. ...but sure felt like a dumb ass trying to figure out why I couldn't peel it apart

 

Finally put my order in on a set for my FJ. Can't wait to get the increased view, especially at the damn tolls when exiting the Mass Pike westbound onto 495 south, it's f'ing impossible to see traffic coming from the right there.

Now just waiting on some for 5th gen T4Rs to come out for the wife's soccer mom mobile.

The issue with the Runners is that they come with heated mirrors from the factory. That means that it will be difficult if not impossible to get the stock glass out. I am working on a possible solution though.

I have a new adhesive in the works that may be able to transfer the heat from the stock mirror to the new EZView Glass. So you'll just stick the new full size piece of glass over the top and be done. I'm just getting started on the new adhesive, but it's looking promising. I'll keep everyone updated.

 

What's involved in installing heated mirrors if I don't have them now? Is there wiring for them? I have a 2009 regular cab sr5.

Put these on yesterday finally. Went down to my parents place in CT (about 1.75hrs each way) and they show so much more, it's pretty crazy the difference vs stock mirrors. You can literally see everything with them from the kickouts on my sliders to people 2 lanes over almost at a 90 deg angle from your door. They should have come stock. This is probably the best bang for my buck mod I've done to my FJ. After about 30 minutes I was used to them and can't imagine going back to the original mirrors.

I've eyed these for a while now. I live in the Atlanta metro area and I have to drive down town for work on a daily basis. I wanted to get these because I'm tired of the blind spots and dealing with blind spot stick on mirrors. I received these quickly considering that I ordered them over the 4th of July holiday weekend. I was able to get the passenger mirror in quickly and trouble free. The driver side not so much. so here comes the questions. the driver side mirror cracked. Can i get a replacement? what is the process? do i need to send you my order info through a pm or go back tot he website? Also I watched the install video(great simple how to video) and followed it, and made sure not to press on the middle of the glass. But the driver side threw me a curve. once i took the plastic mounting plate out, there was two metal prongs on the driver side. That is were my install went wrong as I was trying to line those up inside the housing all long with the plastic clamps, the mirror cracked. DO I need those metal prongs? Im thinking install would be easier with out them. You know hindsight is 20/20. after all of this I am thinking no I don't. Am I the only one to experience this? I haven't seen anyone else mention this.
Im really looking forward to seeing your product in action myself. Just let me know what I need to do on my end.

Sorry to hear that your driver side mirror broke Daniel. Yes, the metal alignment posts can be a pain. Some trucks have them and some don't, so if removing them will make life easier go for it.

Awesome service Nathan!!!! Thank you for the quick response. Order placed. I do believe I'll be removing those prongs. Do you know why they are there to begin with?

 

I believe they're there to prevent the mirror from moving while driving. You're closer to the driver side mirror, so you'll see smaller movements if there are any. The clips on the backing plate do the job just fine though, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Also, a touch of heat on the lower clips helps when seating the mirror. Don't get them too warm as they can melt, just a bit and the mirror will pop right in.

Hi, My name is Brad. I broke my drivers side first time too.
Pushed too far in from the sides, push in only around the outer edges.

 

Got it and the mirror is installed. Much easier to install after removing those metal prongs and using a little heat. Really liking this product. Certainly helps in heavy traffic. Thanks for the quick service.
