How's it runnin?

 

Runs good! I am a bit paranoid and feel like every noise is not right . I haven't drove it very far, maybe 15 miles round trip but it all seems good to go! No leaks yet.

 

What did they tell you about "break in"?

 

Basically to use conventional oil for the first 5,000. Then vary the speeds while driving around. Not to baby it but also not to abuse it. If I took a longer trip to somewhere like cheyenne I should keep varying the speed (e.g. don't sit at 65 mph the whole way).

 

Tachometer is definitely your friend when breaking in an engine, shouldn't be hard around here with the hills and the wind and 4 cylinder etc. That's cool. Glad you got it back.

 

Someone needs to organize a trail ride somewhere. I'm getting ridiculously bored waiting for the snow to melt around here and everything is closed up locally.

I can go faster. Actually had very few no problems holding 90 and that was when I had a garbage piston.

 

Lucky, your 4 banger has almost as much power and torque as a 1st gen V6 though, mine will be usable again when my 4.30s go in.

Yeah, before regearing it was a real dog. Can't wait to get it out and about tomorrow.

I'd like to organize a camp and wheel (and fishing) event for this summer, but with my schedule/luck I wouldn't be able to participate last minute.

 

I would think there is a lot to explore between Moran and Dubois. Have you checked out stuff by Togwotee? I've only been thru there in the winter but I would think there would be a ton of FS roads up there. And maybe even a few more difficult trails.

 

Well, ill be taking pics of historic places in Laramie, so why not haha.
