I put it in first release the clutch with a little gas and it will creep by itself without using the clutch.

You can definitely get the TRD Sport Upgrade package on a double cab with a manual in Canada, I have this truck. The package includes the sunroof and tech options and it's worth every penny. You can use the build and price configurator on Toyota.CA to check, it's much faster and more accurate than calling a dealer.

Never got the burning smell, but put more than 100K on a Datsun learning to properly drive a manual back in the day.....

My unicorn 2005 RAV4 Limited w/ manual transmission might need a new engine so I'm suddenly faced with the prospect of new truck shopping.

Went to a local dealer (Canadian) today to get inventory on a 2016 DC TRD Sport without upgrade package. He said there were currently only 3 in Ontario, and one in the manufacturing queue available for assignment (available in July.)

Dealer says the inventory is distant and would be $500 to ship. Does that sound about right? Anyone reading this thread have involvement with a dealership "local" to me (within 300km of Toronto) that has M/T inventory? The reviews here are great but I'd still rather try the vehicle with m/t before ordering.

I'm in BC, but I had to order my M/T of course, they were able to trade an allocated one from a dealer in Ontario (Sorry!!!) so my build date was 2 weeks after I ordered and took delivery about 4 weeks after it was built.

After owning 2 autos and having my last Taco totaled I settled for nothing less than a manual transmission. Took a while but it was well worth the wait. Even inspired a friend to get his mustang in manual. And makes my friends a little envious that I can drive one.

Funny how times change, waaayyyyy back in automotive history you could only get a car/truck with a manual.

What floor mats is everyone running? I thought I really wanted the Husky X-act, but it does not look like they have them out for the MT. What are the thoughts on the Husky weather beaters? Good? any other brands that have mats for our trucks?

So I bought my first motorcycle and was wondering if any of you had any advice on how to secure it best in the back of my short bed '16 Tacoma. The tailgate will have to be down of course. I'm looking for someone with experience since it will be about a 200 mile trip on mostly interstate and don't want it flying out the back or tipping over. Thanks in advance.

I think that is what I am going to get. Just wanted to see if anyone else had used anything different. It looks like they are pretty sweet, I think I may be a little bit too picky for floor mats lol.
