Oz, I'm sure you go through a lot of blades of all sizes so do you get them resharpened or just buy new every time?

 

Tablesaw and chopsaw blades I get sharpened

 

Do you use carbide tips or traditional steel, out of curiosity? I have carbides on my sliding compound mitre and my circular saw, but a thin-kerf steel blade in my table saw.

Edit- But, my table saw is a 60 year old Craftsman and my sliding mitre is a 3 year old Craftsman, so it's not like I'm doing anything incredibly precise with either of them.

 

I use Freud carbide tipped blades

Those are what I have in mine, too. Pricey, but worth it. I don't remember what the blade in my table saw is; I think it's a Milwaukee.

That seems excessive

 

Theres like 10 different types and when you are running 2 chopsaws and 2 tablesaws at the same time you need lots plus spares for when they're away at the sharpener

 

I buy the regular Diablo's from Home Depot for my employees. I've been thinking about getting them sharpened but not sure. We aren't doing precise cuts and I can't justify spending the money on some specialty blade since the guys in the field will try and cut aluminum with a wood blade and vice versa.
